Hello again,
I find that keeping a blog is a struggle for me. Probably because instead of writing too much, I want to post instead photos of the place I live, have visited and things which inspire me. Since my last post I decided to move back to Finland. I became home sick to see the pine tree woods. I moved to England, thinking of that I would find my roots from there or the place I belong to, but such thing did not happened. Instead I found my lost belonging from my own home country. And at the moment I am looking for a cabin in the woods, where I would be able to root down. All those years when I was trying to find out where I belonged to, i became so tired that I did not had solid roots. I so much wish that soon I would be able to find a new home, place to invite people for a woodland tea and maybe a little garden too to grow herbs & flowers.
I have been here in Finland for 3 months now. Been very busy, I am not sure do I like the word busy at all... Working in my parents garden has mostly filled my days, I brought so many rare plants from England ( I think rare in Finland) with me like Salvias, Persicaria orientalis, Berkheya... At some point I may have a plant nursery on summer times.
Also I have been making a new Etsy shop called "Pine Woods Home". It is a shop which I will fill with items, which I would decorate my own home in the woods with. This shop has been under progress for a quite long time and finally I opened it yesterday. To those who are my blog followers I am offering 10% off from your purchase, just use the code "pinewoodshome".
But still I will make jewelries for the Woodland Jewelries shop as well.
The days when I have not been creating I have been wandering in the woods: gathering first basket full of mushroom in early of July and blueberries too. Soon is the time to pick lingonberries, which are one of my favorite berries. I have also been gathering ingredients for woodland herbal teas. I will make a raw heather syrup soon as well. I have such a yearning to live this way, to live a earthy life. Grow and gather much of my own food as possible. Shame I can't grow my own coffee beans....
It would be lovely to know who is following this little blog?
Oh, I'm following! Don't really have much time to visit blogs, but this morning I do and so I have visited your blog first. Your photo and the simple title "Gathering" is what drew me in. I moved backed to my home state here in the US after living away for 32 years. I now live in an area that is well regarded for its natural beauty, and its actually known as "Wild Wonderful West Virginia". Someday I will visit England and your Finland, such beauty there, too!
